To deeply learn from recent safety accidents both inside and outside the industry, comprehensively investigate and rectify hidden dangers in the production area, and effectively enhance all employees' safety awareness and emergency response capabilities, Jiaxing Woerqi Co., Ltd. organized and held a Special Work Safety Education and Practical Firefighting Skills Training Session in the company meeting room on December 6, 2025. A total of 30 attendees participated, including company management, heads of various production departments, team leaders, and representatives from frontline key positions.
Session Focuses on Key Equipment, Deploys Special Rectification
This session prioritized on-site production safety, focusing on an in-depth analysis and warning regarding key equipment such as winding machines, stamping presses, and forklifts, which are prone to mechanical injury and struck-by-object accidents. The head of the Safety Supervision Department, using illustrated presentations and videos of recent relevant accident cases, detailed the potential risk points in the operation, maintenance, and servicing of these equipment, such as failure of protective devices,违规操作 (violation of operating procedures), human-machine crossover work, and driving in blind spots.
In response to the identified risks, the session clearly deployed special rectification measures for the next phase:
Winding Machine/Stamping Press Safety Enhancement: Immediately organize a comprehensive inspection of all related equipment's protective covers, interlocking devices, emergency stop buttons, etc., to ensure they are sensitive and effective; strictly enforce the "designated operator for designated machine" system, prohibiting unauthorized operation; standardize material placement, clear debris from work areas to prevent accidents caused by insufficient operating space.
Forklift Operation Standard Upgrade: Reiterate and reinforce the system requiring forklift drivers to be certified; plan clear internal traffic routes, install speed bumps and warning signs; strictly prohibit overloading, exceeding height limits, speeding, and carrying passengers; emphasize the necessity to sound the horn and reduce speed at corners, entrances/exits, and other blind spots to ensure safe passage.
Institutionalization of Preventive Measures: Require all departments to incorporate daily checks and weekly special inspections of the aforementioned equipment into standardized procedures, and establish a hidden danger rectification ledger, assigning responsibility to individuals and setting deadlines for closure. Simultaneously, strengthen specialized safety training for new employees and those transferring posts to ensure safety rules and procedures are thoroughly understood and remembered.
Theory Combined with Practice, Mastering "Real Skills" in Firefighting
While strengthening production safety, the latter part of the session transitioned to practical firefighting skills training. The company's dedicated safety officer systematically explained theoretical knowledge including fire types, principles for suppressing initial fires, and precautions for alerting emergency services.
Subsequently, all trainees moved to the practical training area for "hands-on, face-to-face" practical drills:
"Four-Step Method" for Fire Extinguisher Use: The safety officer demonstrated the correct method for using a dry powder fire extinguisher on-site – "Lift, Pull, Aim, Squeeze" (lift the extinguisher, pull the safety pin, aim the nozzle at the base of the fire, squeeze the handle) – and guided trainees to take turns practicing extinguishing simulated fire sources, ensuring everyone could accurately grasp the operational essentials.
Fire Hydrant/Hose Connection Practice: Trainees practiced in groups the rapid deployment of fire hoses, the method for connecting the nozzle to the fire hydrant outlet, as well as the correct stance and precautions for handling the nozzle. Through this practice, everyone became familiar with the fire hydrant usage process and key points of teamwork.
General Manager Ren Qibin emphasized in his concluding remarks: "We should regard safety education instructors like doctors – we cannot wait until we are sick and need treatment to listen to the doctor's advice; we must prevent problems before they occur. There are no small matters in work safety; any minor negligence can lead to irreversible consequences. Both production safety and financial safety must be placed first."
This session featured substantial content and a focus on practical effectiveness. It not only sounded a safety alarm but also enhanced employees' practical skills. It has vigorously promoted the improvement of the company's work safety management level and laid a solid foundation for fostering a continuously stable and positive work safety environment.
